I ran down Hogwarts corridors trying not to be late to Snape's Defense Against the Dark Arts class. My Slytherin robe was racing behind me along with my new ghost friend, Vladimir.
"You have exactly 7 seconds to get to class!" He yelled at me. So I hauled butt down the hall and finally made it to Snape's. I breathed out in relief and turned to Vladimir and smiled.
"Thanks..." I breathed out quietly. He waved and floated down the hall. I turn back to the classroom and saw Harry Potter's seat was taken. Darn...I really liked him too...but I turned my head a little to see a Slytherin robe. It was none other than the evil Draco Malfoy. Ugh, he was so cruel to everyone. But it was the only seat open, so I stormed towards Draco's neighbor seat and sat down, kind of like Hermione Granger does. Draco jumped and opened his mouth to speak but said nothing.
"Oh...it's you..." He said in a monotone voice. I rolled my eyes and looked to the board to see Professor Snape staring at me. Oh boy...
"Miss Acres..." He started in his deep, depressing voice. "You're late..."
"I'm sorry sir, I tripped on my way here and dropped all of my books and..." He held a finger up to shush me. I heard Draco snicker under his breath and slightly turned my head towards him. He stopped smiling and I turned to the board again only to see Professor Snape standing above me.
"I suppose your paper on Dark Magic magically disappeared...again?" He said crossing his arms. I shook my head, no, and reached into my duffle to pull out my soaking wet paper. He snatched it and looked at me.
"Make sure it doesn't happen again..."
"Yes, Professor..." Draco was snickering still next to me.
"Okay now class...today we learn about different spells to stun your opponent..."

In the library, I was reading a book of forbidden spells and it was a little pass when students should be out of bed, especially since the next Goblet of Fire challenge was tomorrow and I had to be up to help Professor McGonagall decorate. I heard the library entrance open and I lifted my head from my deep reading and thought I saw Mr. Filch. But it was Draco.
"What are you doing here?" He asked in his stuck up tone.
"Just reading, I was just about to leave...what are you doing up to, Mr. Malfoy?" He looked at me weirdly and shook his head.
"Why is that important to you, Mudblood?" He asked again. I growled at him and put my book back on the shelf.
"What's wrong with us half bloods anyway?" I asked turned with a hand on my hip.
"Well...you..."
"What? I can do the same spells as you, walk through that gate, and we're even in the same house and you don't respect me, why is that?"
"My father always told me that Mudbloods are just filthy wannabe Wizards."
"Well, your father is wrong...we aren't any different than you full bloods are." Draco stared at me in amazement, as if he thought I was some stupid blonde saying all the digits of pi. He walked a little closer and smirked a little.
"I suppose you're right...I'm sorry..." What?! Draco Malfoy was apologizing to me?! My head was rushing full of confused thoughts. Why is he being NICE?
"We better get to the common rooms..." He said quietly. I nodded and followed him through the door.  On the way to the common rooms, he asked me a lot of basic questions about my life and his. We tried not to laugh to loud.

At the room where the girls and boys common rooms separate, Draco turned towards me, his beautiful blue eyes shone in the dim moonlight, making me shiver a little. He noticed it and took his robe off and handed it to me, even though I had mine in my hand, I smiled and giggled at him.
"Uh...thanks?" I joked. He smiled for the first time tonight, and I noticed the butterflies in my stomach flutter. I put on his robe and it smelled like morning coffee and sugar. I looked at him, still smiling, and kind of gave him a puzzled look.
"What is it?" He asked as if being worried. I stuttered for a second, feeling sad that the smile was gone.
"It's...just that...I noticed you've never been so nice to someone...like you really aren't as evil as people say..."  He sort of smirked and looked oh so sweetly at me.
"Only because...I...l-like...you..." But before I could speak, one of his hands reached for the back of my neck, and the other held my waist, making me walk closer to him. He pulled my face towards his and he slowed a little as we stared at each other for a second. I could smell his minty, glorious breath. Then he smiled, closed his eyes, and kissed me so lightly, I could've been flying. We kissed for about a minute, then he pulled back and looked at me so sweetly. He held me in his arms and I felt so weak in my knees. I wanted to kiss him again...but he slowly let go and blushed deep red.
"Um...goodnight..." He whispered as he turned towards the boy's room. I frowned and grabbed his hand.
"Wait...I...uh...love you..." I said as I blushed almost as deep as him. He kissed me suddenly and quickly and walked upstairs but stopped at the third step.
"I love you too, Sunni..."
